Lead restriction
Under the old law
If the bidding was:
North 1D
East 1H
South pass
West 2H
North 2D not accepted and replaced with pass
There was no lead restriction on South (because the offender had legally specified diamonds)
But now:
Declarer may prohibit the lead of ANY one suit (except diamonds) at South's first turn to lead (law 26B)
That seems awfully tough
Or am I missing something?

I have had it confirmed (private communication with a top director) this is the correct interpretation.
And yes it is tough
Consider this situation:
East: 1C
South: 1D
West: 1S
North: 3D
East: 3C oops, replaced with passSouth can now bid 3NT with no spade stopper and forbid a spade lead!

Worse than that, under L26B1 declarer can demand a diamond lead if it suits them, or demand a heart into AQ.
