LABOUR WEEKEND HAMILTON 10A TEAMS ONLINE TOURNAMENT

On behalf of the Hamilton Bridge Club, I would like to thank all the all the players who entered our inaugural Online 10A Teams’ Tournament. 54 teams entered this tournament. Entries were received from Invercargill to Keri Keri as well as Australia. The subs organised for emergencies were needed intermittently and helped to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament. I thank them for their participation.

The idea of the tournament came from a comment made to me whilst I was  playing in an Auckland Real Bridge session and within two weeks it was born. My thanks go firstly,  to Alan Morris and his  committee for their support especially in allowing A points to be attributed to the tournament. Secondly, Martin Oyston and Paul Coleman  the directors for taking on the challenge.

Ella Gray, the tournament administrator covered all contingencies and I thank her, on behalf of the bridge club for all  her hard work. Members of the  Match committee worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the tournament and I thank them for their contributions. This tournament would not have succeeded without a team
