Waitemata Bridge Club.

Waitemata is  one of the two affiliated clubs in West Auckland and is based in Te Atatu. It has a large catchment area in the Henderson, New Lynn, West Harbour areas. Thanks to Ken Dixon for supplying some information about what he is doing for his club’s members. Ken is the extremely hard-working Club Secretary with this role well away from what a Club Secretary does normally. Another of Ken’s roles is that of Club Teacher. Over to Ken:

“We let our members know about various online bridge sites including BBO.

I'm the trainer for the Waitemata club and to keep myself and the members still thinking about bridge, I went back to a club session which occurred earlier this year. Then I have taken one board in succession each day and send it out asking the questions "what is the best result and by which player?". Then the next day, I send out the answer along with the next puzzle. 

We are up to board 10, the attachment that went out is attached.”  I will also draw the players' attention to the daily hands on this website."
