Thank you to everyone who gave their ideas for the name of the New Zealand Mixed team. The "Mixed Blacks" was the most popular choice from around 150 suggestions. Bridge Blends, Bridge Mixers, Full Packs, Bridge Kiwis, Kiwi Kings and Queens, Black Kings and Queens, Bridge Blacks United, Bridge Mix and Match, Bridge Korus all made it into the final cut. Mixed Blacks got more votes than any other name  The Mixed Blacks joined with the Bridge Ferns for an intensive training weekend taken by GeO Tislevoll.  Here are some of the players in action, preparing for their first international competition of the year in a month's time, the Asia Pacific Bridge Federation tournament (APBF) in Singapore.
