GOLD MEDAL FOR NZ
A victory for New Zealand at the 17th World Youth Championships in China. Brad (Johnston) from Otago Bridge Club played a part in winning the BAM - Board a Match Transnational event. This is for players whose teams do not make the knock-out stages. The USA1 team lost in the quarter finals, and therefore entered the BAM late. Brad played mostly with US player Kevin Rosenberg; his other team mates were Christian Jolly, Ben Kristensen, Adam Kaplan (all from USA) and Asaf Yekutieli of Israel. The team called themselves CAZBOT and came out the WINNERS of the event. Here is Brad on the winners' podium accepting his medal.
