BOOK AND PAY ON-LINE FOR THE NZ NATIONAL BRIDGE CONGRESS
New Zealand Bridge hopes that you will be coming to all or some of this year’s National Bridge Congress in Hamilton from 23rd September to 1st October 2016 with events open to all levels of players from experienced to less confident: the website is ready to accept your bookings and payments.
To enter an event, go to the Congress Tab at the top of the page, then the Congress events page. Here you can the select a "Book Now" button for each event. You will be asked for the name(s) of the people with whom you are playing and if it is a teams event, the first named person is the team captain. If you do not know someone’s NZB number, just type in a few letters of their surname and suggestions will appear.
Once booked, you can then see your entry, either on the relevant event page with the names of all the other people booked into the event, or at the bottom of your My NZB page which shows all your own bookings. To make changes and/or pay, use your My NZB page as well. You can also make payments via the appropriately named Pay menu option.
The price of some events increases if payments are made after 31 August.
The booking and paying facilities operate like many other internet sites with a shopping cart and checkout and payment options.
Some quick items to mention:
- South Island subsidies are available for those purchasing the Full Package
- Youth players should enter the promo code “youth” to receive and automatic 50% discount during checkout
- Don’t forget to register for the Victory Dinner Dance on the final evening of Congress (an extra $10 option with the Full Package, $45 otherwise).
- Entering or "booking" into events is entirely separate from paying. You enter each event separately. However, when you pay, you use the appropriate package to pay or just pay for events individually.
- There are no longer Intermediate or Senior Packages. You enter by individual event. However, because the price of individual events has been reduced, you will not be paying any more than in previous years. You either pay for full Congress, NZ Pairs/ Teams packages or by individual event.
