OPEN
At the end of the 96 board semifinal there is a tie between Berrington and Tislevoll and an appeal of the Director's ruling on one board.
The Director's ruling was upheld which meant that the tie was not broken and so the teams have gone to an 8 board playoff.
The playoff was won by Tislevoll by 20 IMPs.
The 1st stanza of the Finals is underway.
WOMEN
At the end of 96 boards of qualifying the GIbbons team has qualified for the final. Gibbons were happy to stand down for the last 2 matches and allow Cartner and Hajmasi play the last 2 matches head-to-head. It was decided that the three teams would all play the last 2 matches to determine the 2nd finalist.
